Hello Everyone. I have been following all these forum's for some time, anticipating the inevitable of going up for a Med Board. A little History about my situation. I am an E-6 with over 13 years Active Duty. I joined the Navy in June 2003. In 2006 I started to have mild back pain. To make a VERY long story short, I ended up getting a Anterior Lumbar Inter-body Fusion on 2 levels of my Spine (L4/L5/S1). I am on my third LIMDU, which ends on May of this year. My EAOS is in November 2016. I have started the Med board Process, and will be meeting with my PEBLO, and the VA next week to start my VA Claim. I am also scheduled to attend DTAP next week. I have several questions about the MEB process. If I fail a BCA during this time, can they ADSEP me? Does this take precedence over my MEB? How long can I expect this process to take. I was told 3-6 Months on average. I also had an appointment scheduled for this Month prior to my MEB being started to see an Orthopedic Surgeon, to see about getting a Bakers Cyst removed from behind my Knee. This is causing me Pain and is not allowing me to walk correctly, or even start my back to running program, which I have tried 3 times, but it has not successful due to the pain in my left knee. Will I be able to get this Surgery during my MEB? Everything I have been reading is telling me no, but I have not seen anything "Official" Yet. I am sure I will be full of questions during this process. This site is a great help!
Thanks.

3 months would be a miracle. See my timeline below

Mine took exactly 6 months from the date of enrollment into IDES to receiving findings. I am quite lucky in comparison to other's timelines in terms of length. Each case varies man, a lot of things come into play that can pro long or shorten the timeline. It's a grueling process but your time will come. I wish you the best of luck!
