I just wanted to post my timeline to this point as general information. I am located in the Northeast.

MSC Contact: 10 June 2025

Total C&P Exams: 4 + imaging
MEB Review and Signed: 29 July 2025
PEB Accepted Case: 29 July 2025
PEB Finding of Unfit: Beginning of August 2025
VA Claim Closed: 02 Sep 2025

Currently awaiting my ratings from the PEB with no other update besides being told by PEBLO that it has been with the PEB for over 60 days and to expect an update with ratings soon. Was originally told by Attorney it would be 30-60 days for the PEB process.

My Va claim closed September 15th. My peblo let me know my proposed VA rating same day and was told by Oct 30th my final findings letter would arrive. Unsure if the government shut down is affecting any of this (I’m sure it is)

The quick turnaround was most likely because you were one of the first and few cases coming through since the end of the shutdown congrats!

Today I received a request from Optum Serve to set up an appointment to do DBQs on most of my upper body and lower body claims. I’m not sure why this is as I already have all my original DBQs and all the paperwork from the VA through the ides for all conditions being rated. I have reached out to my MSC for clarification but have not heard back yet.

Has anyone had this happen? I am in the middle of trying to get everything ready to move and this hit at the worst time and I don’t understand why.

Yes. It's happening to a majority of people. It's due to the Ingram case. If you have you're rating already, it's just to help finalize the claims when you retire or seperate. It's nothing to be worried about. Ask your MSC for more details

Ok thank you I appreciate the response. I got very worried when I got the message because of the timing with my move and already completing all of the exams and receiving my proposed ratings.

That 60-day mark with the PEB is always where things seem to stall out. It's frustrating when the attorney gives you one timeframe and the reality looks a bit different, but it sounds like you're right on the home stretch.
