I have a retirement date of 1 Oct 17. I have a approved retirement and have numerous med problems however, command has ruled out med board and will let me quietly fade out. Been having neck problems for 5 years, well I seen my neurosurgeon yesterday and I will need surgery end of January. My retirement physical is in march at redstone part 1 then part 2 with VA. That was my background to help with this question.

Question is what will be the best process with the va part 2 exam for my benefits. I was going to do the BBD at ft Campbell to receive my benefits after retirement. So with that being said can I complete a va part 2 with my neck recovery or should I wait at 4 months before to get my physical. I'm afraid since I possibly could be in recovery mode in march that if I take my physical they won't rate me correctly. Just trying to find out best route and not short change myself. Thanks for looking and helping out.

Myself, personal I was the same way, but I insist a Med Board and got it, and I was approved unfit and I got everything just like a regular retirement.
