I am AD Navy and being referred to a MEB and I am currently stationed overseas, my PCM told me that all of the cases he has done requires an early return CONUS as we do not have the medical facilities, and from there I would do all of the medical things either in San Diego or Portsmouth. My question, it is unlike the Navy to pay me while I sit around in San Diego and do nothing, what command would I be sent to? What kind of work would i be doing in the mean time? Should I go to SD or Portsmouth or any other areas? My understanding is that I get to pick the area.
