Officer 4 years, enlisted for 3 prior. Facing admin sep/officer elimination. Submitted a resignation in lieu of spring of 2024. In OCT 2024 I was referred to and in the process of MEDBOARDing. I received my ratings today and will sign my 199 but how does this work from here? My PEBLO said I would receive a phone call some time within a week to advise me of my NLT 90 day timeline. I've asked my BDE legal and commander whats happening with my officer elimination/resignation and they don't know either besides "it's at HRC". My PEBLO advised the MEB process will continue since nobody has told them otherwise. I more so want a definitive answer.

Side Note: 20% DoD 100% VA. (considering submitting a VARR to get my 20 to 30, but just kind of worried about how this process will workout for me)

You are in the officer “dual process.” An Ad Hoc board at the DA level will determine whether you are admin separated or medically separated/retired. If you can, I’d fight for at least that 30%. The process usually takes at least 6 months once it gets to DA.

If your disability could be a mitigating factor in the misconduct then you are much more likely to get the med discharge/retirement.
