ok i concured with my VA findings last tuesday and am awaiting orders she sent off my concurance back to the PEB and i was told to go to transition which told me i have to wait to come up on orders before they can do anything so i guess that was a waste of time. Ive heard it usually takes about 2 weeks and i can request anyday to be out in that 90 window that is given to me when my seperation letter comes in.....they suggested on the 27th of a month so my pay goes through smoothly...has anyone heard this or can anyone tell me what happened in there case????

To my understanding the powers that be pick the date for you which will fall around the days of the 23rd - 28th of the Month, not to exceed 90 days from once they receive your john handcock for agreement w/ IPEB. There is a portion in one of those forms that states if you want a shorter DOS. again this has to get approved by the powers that be. But generally, I've seen on here doing research, that on avg its 2 weeks from accepting and signing findings to get orders, then generally around 60-90 days is where your actual DATE OF RETIREMENT will be. So between those days leading up to your actual END date, you can out-process and possibly go on TERMINAL LEAVE pending you have the appropriate amount of days and pending your UNIT allows it, also you can request PERMISSIVE TDY FOR HOUSE HUNTING AND TRANSITION, through your unit and commander.

godspeed

so if i where to get my orders this week or next i am able to request my final out day to be next month??

not sure what branch your in, but in the air force its the form you have to sign for accepting your results, on that same form it has a portion where you can select yes for DOS shorter than 45 days. hope this helps.
