I got my rating from my DOD findings and proposed VA rating, and my DOD findings state Permanent disability at 30%. Does anyone know if you can get P and T from the VA with only "97%" that equals 100%? I have functional loss in a lot of my proposed ratings 8 out of 15 claims that were rated.

If its rounded to 100% it Total. Total just means 100% VA disables. Permanent is another story. You can be Total but not Permanent. To be Permanent all of your VA conditions that are used to get you to 100% need to be listed as static. When they are all listed as static the VA will change your condition to P&T. If you aren't P&T then you need to check your code sheet to see what conditions the VA is still expected to periodically review.

My DOD findings were rated 30% PDRL for my condition because i can’t eat or exercise with it and i already had surgery to correct the issue and it didn’t work and i can’t get another surgery or i can die. Not all of my conditions will be permanent, but the major ones are unfortunately.

My wife was 100% total disabled and then 6 months after she got out her one condition that wasn't static was changed to static. She has mental health issues do to dealing with other chronic health conditions. So 6 months after medically retiring she received a letter that she was now 100% P&T. The key is to continue to seek treatment for all of your condition, especially the ones that the VA doesn't have listed as static.
