PDBR Final Approval -- 18 Months Later -- No Contact

Over a year ago, I wrote the PDBR to notify them my address changed, only to be told that my case had not only been decided but that it had final approval. They emailed me the packet that should have been sent to my old address (while I was there) eight months earlier with the final decision and acceptance.

It has been 18 months. I have heard nothing from them. The Air Force address ignored me last time I asked them for a point of contact.

I'm beginning to suspect that they couldn't have possibly forwarded my new address to the next step and I will never hear from them if I do not reach out.

Does anybody have a point of contact for the Navy at this point in the process? I know there was a phone number or email address floating around when I started the process five years ago.

I was able to get my case moved along by emailing them.

I tracked down the contact information for Ann Jones (Navy). She verified I hadn't misunderstood the situation and gave me a contact further along in the process, but that person hasn't responded to his email...

I'll give this one a try. Thanks again!

I'm still waiting for a lot of things also. I have never contacted Ann Jones but not sure if there is anything she would be able to answer for me. Looks like we were both ET3 in the Navy also.
 
Once I got a hold of a person from the disabiity_retirement email, they had me submit my PBDR paperwork and things moved along. I am now scheduled to go on base to get a new ID card. Still waiting for my certificate (if I am supposed to get one) and for DFAS

I was a nuke ET, but I'm still doing electronics as a hobby 15 years after getting out. :)

I think Ann is the point of contact for earlier in the process. After the Air Force, but before the orders go out to start making changes? Great response time.

I have an ID because of 100% P/T from the VA. I had cancer when I started this, so it wasn't something I kept a close eye on. I have been in remission for a while and I figured I would be able to see my status change in DEERS to let me know if things moved along.

The letter from SECNAV to Naval Personnel Command went out in October 2020, in my case. I can not imagine a situation where I took over a year to do something SECNAV ordered me to do while I was active duty, COVID or not.
 
Sounds like we might have been on a similar timeline. My letter from SECNAV also was sent out Oct 2020. I didn't hear anything back and had to dig around and then contacted the Disability Retirement email. They had me fill out some forms and send it back to them. Just waiting, yet again.
