I'm in need of some serious help. I'm so confused. I just received the letter stating that my case is being re-characterized to a medical retirement. I was medically separated back in Jan 2008 with 10% from the Air Force for COPD and they are now saying it should've reflected my VA score at 30%. I'm trying to figure out what this means in regards to pay. I receive VA payments at 70% but that's combined with a few other things. Will they look at my full VA pay or what the VA gives me just for COPD the 30%?! HELP!
