"Pending decision approval"

I was rated 40% :(... So I'm contesting the case. Has anyone heard of this going bad when you ask for a different rating and send it back.

I would appeal, but keep in mind the pendulum can swing in both directions. There was a young lady on here a few weeks ago that appealed and got her unfit reversed in the process of a higher rating. please keep that in mind.

I've heard things going soar before, but that's why I'm going to pull up all the supporting documents I can because they missed a lot. How long did it take for her to get her results the second time?

Unknown_12, I hate seeing cases like yours where DOD comes back with the minimum. I hate to say such things but DOD doesn't care at all about any of us as individuals. We each have to fight like hell against the government to get a fair shake and we can only succeed by helping each other. DOD doctors sleep well and comfy in their beds at night whether they take care of us or not.... And mostly not... Many of us on this board have been through the IDES wringer, and are in a position of being able to help each other, giving as much advice as we have the experience to give. What strikes me the most is that there is so little to go on in your case. If you would just tell us what conditions you were rated for, there is sure to be a variety of people here that have the same or similar conditions that could help you. I would hate to see you lose your case. I personal had an extremely convoluted case and would have lost my ass to uncle SAMs shitty doctors had it not been for my own willingness to fight like hell combined with the experience here on this board.

From what i remember i think it was 2 months. I hope you get the outcome you deserve.i know in my expierence with this whole thing my biggest priority was getting the treatment post military and with some help with the finances i accrued while being in. Im hoping in a few months my case speaks for itself and i can just accept and move on.

Hope everything works out. This process needs to be completely revamped and done better.

i honestly think itll start with better manning at the peb, or atleast give us a reasonable way to track it on the meb peb side , it would reduce anxiety for alot of people if you could actually look up progress on that side of the house.

This morning when I checked my claim status changed from "pending decision approval" back to "gathering of evidence" so I don't know what that means. and still no word from my PEBLO. But I wish you the best of luck unknown_12!!

Check historical Claims. I think this means that you are about to get your findings/ratings, and the VA is preparing to finalize your claim.

Ok I checked Historical Claims last Thursday and there wasn't anything in it. I just checked now and this is what I saw:
"Submitted: 03/01/2016
Closed: 03/04/2016
Updates: Decision Notification Sent"

Does that mean my ratings are done?!?!?!

I cant answer that for sure, as I am still waiting mine, but from what I have read elsewhere in this forum, that means your ratings are done, or very close.

How long have you been waiting?

ratings were sent to PEB for them to do their sorcery and then they contact you to agree/disagree to the ratings. I am being told by my PEBLO that the back up on this stage is 30-60 days. I have been in this phase since 04FEB2016. hang in there!

I'm at the exact same time frame. Just waiting for that phone call or email to drive down there and see how bad they low ball me. Should be exciting.

My PEBLO says they process the cases in the order they are received, but I don't believe it because of how many people I see on here who already have their ratings, when they went to the PEB after me.
It sucks, cause she just keeps saying, "I had one guy who waited on the PEB for 7 months, so no need to worry yet."

This directly effects our near and far future, so yes it worries me...

Yeah same here my started 25NOV15 so it's like come on. A buddy of mine who's on the same timeframe as we are already has his out date, orders, and starts leave the end of this month so I call bullshit on them being done in the order they receive them.

But I agree this has a huge impact on our future and they take that with a grain of salt like if it were them in our position they'd see it completely different

The PEB accepted my case on 4 Nov 15. The unfit letter to the VA was received on 12 Jan 16. The VA sent the proposed ratings back to the PEB on 25 Feb 16. So yeah in a nut shell that's my timeline. Every case is completed case by case. I am over 120 days since the PEB has accepted my case. I am just hoping to get the call any day now saying come sign your ratings. I can say this from the PEBLO (Finally) That because of the case load they wait to contact the member when they are able to get them in the office (talking about the 3 day period). If you are wondering I am active Marine at Camp Lejeune.
