I just got my proposed rating from the VA, still waiting on the DOD rating. My question is I believe my VA rating is not correct, am I able to do a HLR while I’m still in the process of ides or do I have to wait until I’m completely out? Don’t want to mess up the ides process but want to be proactive.
Please help need some insight

You're stuck with your VA rating until you become a veteran. I was reading my DA 199, and there is a part on the bottom where you can disagree with your VA rating but only for the referred condition(s).
So what happens if you do not concur on the da199?
Pretty sure if you request an board or whatever it's called they are pretty backlogged and will take a while.. You should have your dod ratings if you have your VA. The peb uses the VA rating for your unfit condition. So look for the ones that are unfit.
Not concurring with the findings of the IPEB will initiate a formal PEB but ONLY for your referred condition(s). If you do not agree with the rating you got for your referred condition youre gonna want to bring new evidence as to why it should be rated higher. Just make sure you make an appointment with legal.
