Been reading a lot of info on the board and gotten a much better idea of what happens durring an MEB. But i might/maybe be facing an MEB. I had TB and a collapsed right lung in 2010. Long story short after 6 chest tubes and a biospy was back on AD. But have pain in my back and shoulder. On top of that shortness of breath on occsaion. I was giving an inhaler and it helps with the breathing but not the pain.
My PCM told me today that i have an obstruction causing my shortness of breath and need for an inhaller. I failed my resperator fit test and being sent to Germany to take some breathing test. I know Germany is where they have a bunch of specalist and i wonder if i am being sent up to maybe be recomended for a MEB. I have been in going on 6yrs now and wouldn't mind and MEB. But i don't want to end up on the short end of the stick. My PCM aslo asked me if i would like a waiver for my next PT test to not do the run. I don't know if he was just being concered or just saying standard options.
Anyways anyone know if i can "ask" to be MEB or get an eval. Or is it all up to the Doc no matter how my body feels?
