Im at 16.5 years. I am currently in a commissioning program, just waiting on being medically cleared to commission. However, I just had a 3rd(2 in service) shoulder surgery in October. The base im closest to is an Army base and i was referred to an off-base ortho. I've been on LimDu for close to 60 days. This is my second period in my career, last was in 2015 which was for shoulder surgery on the same shoulder. I have read that LimDu triggering a MedBoard is after 12mo cumulative in a career. The LimDu coordinator i spoke with said that in Limdu smart there is only record of this period, but on Command Profile it shows that i was on Limdu back in 2015.
Does the LimDu get sent to MMSR-4? Will they see the previous period since its not in LimduSmart? Even though my LimDu was signed off and approved by the competent medical authority, does it still need to be approved by MMSR-4? Outside of the shoulder there is some MH issues as well. Really and truly I'm in a holding pattern and looking for insight as to what to expect as being medically retired/separated is not the end of the world, just tired of sitting around.
