Pregnant in the middle of ides

Hi all,
I have a quick question. I signed my narsum oct. 13 and as of Oct 28th they hadn't made a decision of fit or unfit in DC. It's now the 20th of november, going to call back next Tuesday and check for an update from peb.

Now onto my question, I just found out I'm pregnant. How is this going to affect, if at all, my med board? Can anyone please shed light on this for me. Thank you!

Congratulations.

I've heard of it going both ways, sometimes they stop the MEB, sometimes they carry on. This should depend on how the pregnancy effects their ability to evaluate your fitness, i.e. depends on what your conditions are. If they need imaging or labs or such, and they can't do them or they would be effected, they should halt the MEB until after. If the conditions are already worked up well enough, recently enough, or just won't be effected, they should proceed.

If you're 6 months in by the time the C&P happens, and need accurate ROMs and new x-rays, this is going to be an obvious problem. If you're referred for mental health, pregnancy probably won't change much. Sometimes it will depend on you raising it as an issue, especially if you are arguing that conditions besides the referred conditions are unfit.

Thank you! I've already had my C&P exams so hopefully they won't stop the process!

Congratulations, I suspect you are free and clear. After the C&P exams are done its all paperwork.

I would love an update on if it affected you. I have had my C&P exams. I am 9 weeks since mine was sent to Washington and just found out I am pregnant.
