----------POST RETIREMENT----------------

Sent CRSC package off to attorneys in Washington D.C.: 30 Jan 13
VA finalized ratings complete - Ebenefits states notification sent: 8 Feb 2013
VA closed old claim/opened new: 10 Feb 13
VA Ebenefits in pending decision- VA MSC said should finalize within 1 month: 15 Feb 13
First DoD retirement check deposited into my account: 5 March 13
Finalized VA claim changed to Pending Decision Approval in Ebenefits: 22 March
VA states that my claim is scheduled to be finalized/complete between 4/2/2013 and 5/3/2013...for anybody following and trying to plan their financials post retirement, that means that (if they stay true to their estimate), my VA pay will not have started until 2-3 months post retirement.
Also, in regards to utilizing NVLSP for pro bono representation to file and represent me for the CRSC board...they have told me that they have ordered all required documents, etc. and that it could be
8 months to a year before they can even tell me if they will accept my case- what a load of bs. I forwarded my package to my Wounded Warrior rep in San Antonio for review and will be submitting the package myself. Pretty disappointed with NVLSP, but I guess you get what you pay for- and all the while they act like they are doing you such a big favor and you should bow down and kiss their ring....not gonna happen with me.

I'll climb off my soapbox now...
