I have been to 8 neurologists in the last 2 years. one told me that I have ALS (but would not officially diagnose me) and another "thinks" I have Primary Lateral Sclerosis, or PLS. I cannot find a rating anywhere for PLS, although ALS is very similar but much more severe and carries a 100% rating. would PLS fall under ALS as an "analogous" rating?
Just a couple of thoughts:
1) Find a good neurologist either by referral/heading to a medical center of excellence/friends, or whatever means who will treat you. Getting the right medical care is critical.
2)You are right ALS is more severe than PLS - and MAY be analogous, or the deficits from PLS could be rated individually by their corresponding nerve cluster deficits in movement/sensation, etc. It would depend upon how severe your functional deficits are.
