Process Started, I think?

I am extremely new to this process. I am wondering what the next step is. As of right now I just received my TEMP profile with the 3. PA said I needed to go through an MEB, but I am wondering if I need to do something else to get the process moving...she was pretty UN-helpful in her email response.

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

In reference to the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process, please view my following PEB Forum URL thread for a detailed explanation about the DoD IDES process:

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

I just finished with that portion of being referred to the MEB process so I can give you my experience. I am a recruiter in 5th BDE and do my medical processing at Ft.Hood
1.I first saw a provider on post, she gave me a temp profile with 3's which sends up a red flag for my medical file to be reviewed.
2. My profile and medical records were sent to the MEB clinic and forward to a Dr that reviews the documents to see if MEB is warranted based off his preliminary review.
3. A second Dr signed my profile making it permanent.
4. Once the second Dr signed it the IDES clinic officially accepted my case and I was put into the MEB process.
That is the order of events that have occured thus far. You said the Dr giving you a profile was not helpful, she has no influence on the situation as i felt the same way with mine. The advice I would give to you is to call your MEB clinic and ask about the status of your case. I called the Ft.Hood clinic about twice a week until I was told it was accepted. Hope this helps.

I am a step or two ahead of you, it will take about a month for you to be assigned a PEBLO, they will reach out to you and set up an appointment, you will then sit with the MSC (VA Rep) list out your claims, list EVERYTHING, now is not the time to embrace the suck, be honest. The MSC will then schedule the needed C&P exams. That gets forwarded back to the PEBLO after it's done then to another Doctor to write the NARSUM (the point I am at) this then gets forwarded to the MEB after you have viewed it and signed off on it.

I just now saw when your original post was dated. I have a PEBLO assigned and will be attending the IDES brief on Wednesday.

believe it or not, your experience as a recruiter is going to help you..... regulation research.
