Proposed ratings...??

I have information that my proposed ratings are 40% DOD and 90% VA

Now i'm going to assume that the 40% DOD is TDRL. I have a long history or back problems...including a prior surgery. But like i said still assuming they are going to look at me as "unstable" due to my spinal fusion surgery being just last Sep.

These are proposed ratings. Do these have a tendency to change once they come back as a final rating? or....do they call these proposed rating because i have the chance to submit a rebuttle.

Thanks in advance.

Finalized ratings typically reflect your proposed ratings unless your conditions have changed (and the VA has been made aware) or you request a one time reconsideration. Most of the situations that I have heard of where the ratings were different usually resulted in an increase in percentages from proposed to finalized.
In re to changing from TDRL to PDRL, I haven't heard of that happening (but I'm sure others may have).

Well my peblo told me.....but he seemed hesitant. I called VA about the change on Ebennies...and of course the lady was worthless. My peblo checked whatever it is he checked and .....bingo.
Not positive if he was supposed to but....it was cool of him.

It's ridiculous how everything seems to so secretive with this process, isn't it? I believe that a major reason why they (VA, PEBLO, etc.) won't tell us anything is because they are truly lost themselves.

Congratulations! :) Wow! That's a swift turnaround of DoVA ratings.

Thus, are you initially pleased with the DoVA proposed ratings?

Best Wishes!

Wtf!!!!!! U were only at va for a month!!!!

Yeah!!
The numbers are where they should be surprisingly. I've been low balling myself in my mind just to prepare for the worst.
Its a huge relief to know what's coming in the next few months.

Sicotic.....I'm sorry your stuff is dragging out. Hang in there buddy.

Well, then, it's a "win-win" for everybody! :)

Memory is pretty crap...but i want to say 9? The lady actually did it for me at the initial VA appt. and thank my lucky stars i had good help.
San Diego VA Centers La Jolla /Mission Valley/ and another across the Highway.

I'll post more when i get paperwork in hand.

His claim probably was sent to a va RO that has little to none IDES backlog or he has conditions that was clear cut and easy to rate

Each RO that handles IDES has a separate office that only handles IDES claims and isn't mixed with VETERANS CLAIMS, so everybody on this forum is competing with each other on getting claims done specially the soldiers on this forum who claims are in Seattle

I have simple claims. So I know it isn't that. 7 only.

I think it has a lot to do with the processor assigned to your case...pure speculation...but I do think that.

Yea but what's simple to you might not be simple to them, and its possible that they haven't even worked on your claim yet, your claim and his claim are at two different VA offices, obviously where his claim is at are getting done quicker than where yours is @

A good observation...:)

Congrats on getting your stuff from your PEBLO, mine is still playing cat and mouse games. My ebenefits page states they are done, but it seems nobody at the Balboa PEBLO office can give me an answer. Maybe I'll hear something this week.
