PT during medical board

Hello All,

I'm just wondering if there is a certain regualtion ergarding standards and procedures for a soldier going through a PEB in a non medical unit. Like am I not allowed to do pt once my paperwork has been submitted, or once a finding has been reached? If anyone knows anything on this subject I would greatly appreciate any information.
Thanks,

Victoria

Your restrictions should be outlined in your physical profile and are authorized per AR 40-501 chapter 7.

If you've been being treated by non-military doctors you need to bring their recommendations on activity limitations to most readily accessible medical officer in your chain of command (so he/she can put civilian limitation recommendations into the form of a military profile).

I have heard this rumor before and correct me if i am wrong about what you were asking but the whole after you part 2 physical you cannot do pt thing is what I thin k you are asking about.

That is actually not true there is no regulation that states you cannot do pt after your part 2 or after your packet has been submitted. now if your unit was to make sure that your meb/peb is completed and get you out in a timely manner it would be a good idea to make sure you don't get hurt during pt, but as far as not doing organized pt during a meb, that is completly up to your chain of command

I'm still doing PT and I have finished my part three. Its completely up to your commander. As a matter of fact I just had a PT test Friday.

There is no regulation that limits PT during MEB/PEB evaluation. What does limit PT not only during MEB/PEB evaluation, but in any case where one is present, is a profile. My guess would be that in most cases, a profile will limit physical activity. The Commander is bound by Army Regulations to respect the limits of a Soldier's profile.
