What does the VA do for the Pulmonary Function Test. I did one a while back where I just blew air into a tube and was out like in 15mins. Is this the same exam for the C&P exam. Just trying to also figure out how long this appointment might last.

The PFT is essentially the same as what you have already done. It takes minutes.

@chaplaincharlie as always thanks for the insight, glad your on this forum brother.

Agree mine was just a regular old PFT. The thing that worries me was that some of my numbers were really good and one number (DLCO-SB) was really bad. I was worried they would use the good numbers (FEV1 and some other thing I forgot) to lowball me. Turns out they didn't. The VBA rate called the pulmonologist that administered the PFT and asked what numbers she thought most represented my disability. She went with the worst set of numbers.

Just did my PFT took a while since I didn't use my inhaler two days prior so it was hard for me to complete the breathing out part kept coughing pretty bad. Just glad that exam is over. Now on to the next one.

I did see FEV1 4.28 on the screen what does that outcome mean for me?
