Question about timeline...

I will hit 20 years of service on 21 August 2023. If I receive a P-3 profile (BH related) at the end of February, is it safe to assume I could make it to 20 years? I currently have 70 days of leave and don't plan to take any in the hopes it will help me stretch out my terminal leave. I guess my question is, should I try to hold off my BH provider a bit longer? Or would you feel safe pulling the trigger of the profile at the end of February? Any advice is truly appreciated. Truly crawling to the finish line at this point; I'm struggling and also scared. Thanks in advance.

I would wait until the end of March to be safe and continue to save your leave. Since only only get one chance you don't want to barely miss hitting 20 years. Hitting 20 active duty years basically ensures you are good either way regardless of the results of the IDES process.

That’s kind of what I was thinking too, but only because I’m not 100% educated on the ways to delay/appeal once the ball is rolling.
