Question about VA process within IDES

I was informed my case was with a rater but they said it wouldn't be closed until they received a dd214. The rep said I would receive proposed ratings in the coming week or so but can't close it until after I separate. Is that normal? I was going to ask my PEBLO or MSC but both aren't working today. AF Air Force. Original separation date September 2024

Yep. All ratings are proposed. Once you get out and have your DD214 you scan it and upload it to your claim on the VA.gov website. Then select request for decision. My wife did this when she was medically retired. She uploaded her DD214 before she was even out since she got her DD214 at the start of terminal leave. Her last day in was November 20. Then on Nov 21 she request a decision for her claim on VA.GOV. About 6 weeks later she received an award letter and everything was finished and finalized.
