I had my first phone conference with SMEBC today, and he wasn't exactly the most helpful person. Hoping y'all can help clarify some stuff as I prep to request an IMR.
- If I have conditions that would get lumped under one VA rating but are different retention standards under AR 40-501, do I need to make sure all my relevant diagnoses are listed? For example, both depression and anxiety and parasomnias?
- Most of my "meets retention standards" conditions have inaccurate or missing medical history - i.e. "the medical record is silent." Do I need to push to get the accurate treatment history in there?
- The VA didn't diagnose a couple of things, so they're listed as "claimed XXX condition (VA diagnosis - none)." Should I be pushing to get diagnoses here if I think the C&P examiners messed up? Or do I just wait to appeal/supplement my VA claim after separation?
