Quicker process

The only question I have as of now is I was told my date should be here by the end of the week. If I already done taps and final physical as well as already checked out, then shouldnt i be out quicker. I heard that the date they will give me since I am being retired will be 30 days after the date the orders was processed is that true and can I keep my hopes up.

That certainly sounds reasonable. As I mentioned, anything you can do (either at the unit or base level) before, will speed up the process. Not sure if you can make a transportation appointment without orders in hand, but perhaps you can do the briefs.

The final answer will depend so much on your local command and base. One thing working in your favor is that you will not be in the middle of PCS season when you outprocess.
