Radiculitis evaluation

I have been diagnosed with chronic radiculopathy in my left leg in the left side. When I was submitting my documentation to the PEBLO she told me that I should check if I had radiculitis. I went to the physiatrist to verify if I had the condition and he told me that radiculitis and radiculopathy are the same thing.

Are they both different? And if they are, where de I need to go to get examined and verify if I have radiculitis. What’s the name of the study that determines if I have radiculitis?

My husband just received some records from where he gets injections in his back. I seen it says he has bilateral lumbar radiculitis. No other doctor has mentioned that to us. He had an EMG done on both legs but he didn't have any nerve damage. But if the doctor says he has radiculitis then that means there is something wrong with the nerves in his lumbar? Amazing how we find out new things from doctors off base that the doctors on base never mention.
