Rating Timeline Question

Hello all,

Trying to get a little insight on my case. Here’s a brief timeline and then I’ll ask my real question at the bottom

18Jan: referred to MEB
22Jan: VA receives compensation claim
23Jan- QTC exams
April 03- receive Completed VA exams. Ebennies updates to “prep for decision”
April 15- MEB completed, signed NARSUM, sent to PEB
April 16- PEB receives package
June 14- called PEB who informed me I was found unfit and sent to VA

My question is; has the VA been rating my compensation claim since April 03? And since the PEB determination took so long does that compensate for the overall timeline of the VA rating process ? Should I be counting the days since April 03 or June 14th? MSC says Va rating board should be done with it soon since It was sent to them over 2 months ago. Just trying to get a small idea of when. I know it’s all an estimate.

Usually the Va doesn't start rating proposed rating until they receive your unfit determination from the broad. So the date the Peb found you unfit and forwarded it to Va, it is sad to say but you cannot depend on ebenifits or va.gov for accuracy because it is not for people going through IDES process. I would only take note when you see your open claim has been closed usually means it headed back to peb for finalization than to you.

Gosh that’s so depressing. I was trying to be hopeful and think I was close to the light at the end of the tunnel. So from what I’ve read, it could be another 60 days for the VA rating side. Sheesh.

DO that continue to be positive throughout the process trust me its the only ally you have. Every case is different I am at day 85 waiting for ratings but that is just my story you could be lucky take 30 days only time will tell no matter what happens be positive stay in the end it keeps your sanity trust me. Best luck at speedy ratings

Timeline update:

July-10- VA claim status updates to “pending decision approval”. Called VA who informed me my ratings were sent back to the PEB
July 11- new claim appeared and was closed

Looks like it’s moving!
