Hey Folks,

I am being referred to MEB for two conditions so far;

Somatic Symptom Disorder (SSD)

Hip pain (labrum tear)

I wanted to post my timeline especially during COVID to hopefully give others an idea of the process and ask for some guidance. This was completely dropped in my lap a few weeks ago and between this am homeschooling and this I am a little overwhelmed.

So far

04/22/2020 Referred to MEB
04/30/2020 Legal Inbrief (Tele)
04/30/2020 1st Appointment with PEBLO (Tele)
05/08/2020 Neuropsych Eval
05/08/2020 P3 Submitted

I have yet to get an appointment with my MSC. I have about 30 additional injuries I would like to claim and I am having a bit of trouble categorizing everything and getting my records in order with the number of injuries I have. I've had a non-combat TBI in the past and my short-term memory is shot.

Should I categorize injuries by the condition? i.e chronic, then recurring? Should I provide a personal statement for each condition citing where in my records supporting information can be found? For example, I would sort my conditions I am claiming into two categories

Chronic- SSD, PTSD, Hip pain, back condition, neck condition, Tinnitus, Fibromyalgia, etc

Recurring- Plantar Fascitis, left arm pain, ED, eye pain, etc

Then I would write a personal statement for each injury I am claiming how I go the condition and how the condition affects me on a daily basis.

What do you guys think? Am I taking this too far? Could I be shooting myself in the foot with personal statements? I honestly want to be as prepared as possible and leave nothing open to interpretation.

You don need that many personal statements, you make the claim and if its in your service treatment records they will schedule you an exam to determine the correct rating.
