Last week my doc diagnosed me with PTSD and adjustment disorder. He wrote a P3 profile for the PTSD and recommended me for the MEB. The PTSD he says was from childhood related to some sexual abuse. The profile was kicked back because someone up top said that the PTSD is not service connected. I am not sure who to trust or who to go for advice.
The PTSD was a surprise. I had been struggling with anxiety and depression after being PCSed 3 times in a matter of a week from california to alaska to germany. And being separated forcefully separated from my wife and lied to by a shitty command. Basically I didn't have any anxiety or depression before the time. but after the stress from Germany I have these issues. I take valium for anxiety and they have me on seroquel for insomnia. I only care about getting the health care in the future both for me and my family.
How should I approach this situation? I am already in a WTU waiting for a MEB to start for Ulcerative Coilitis but they said they will start it next month.
I don't have any record of symptoms before the service or for the first 3 years of service. I would think that even if it is childhood related, it would still be aggravated by service. Does anyone have any input? I would really appreciate some advice from some fellow soldiers.
