Reserves MEB

Is the Air Force reserves process different from AD or the other branches? Everything I read talks about a PEBLO, lawyer etc. My process didn't go anything like that at all. I mention it to my shirt and he doesn't know anything about it. I just don't understand why I don't have a Lawyer, PEBLO or really anyone explaining the process.

I am AFRES too and it's been the same for me. I am in the middle of a WWD determination rather than a MEB. It's been 5 years and just finally getting movement. Nobody seems to know anything. I expect I will be retiring within the next 6 months due to my issues. I have over 20 so I can retire, but I am code 37 so can't retire until this process is done.

Thanks for the reply. I'm struggling to get any reply from the Facebook group or even Reddit. Seems like not many go through this. I now am told I cannot rebuttal or appeal at all since "that's reserved for Active Duty". Funny enough that all the calculations of time is based off of my Active Duty time.

It sounds like they put you through a non-duty related Disability Evaluation System. That process is reserved for the reserves and is different. A non-duty related DES doesn't require an LOD unlike the IDES or LDES which requires an LOD because the military has culpability in paying you benefits at the end if you are discharged or retired. A non-duty related separation is not required to pay you squat at the end if you don't have the required TIS requirements.
