Just received my disability retirement order. I'm a little confused by a couple of things, hopefully someone might have an answer...

The order states the following:
SERVICE FOR BASIC PAY: 11 yrs 06 months 19 days
ACTIVE SERVICE FOR RETIREMENT: 04 yrs 10 months 24 days
SERVICE PER 10 U.S.C. 1405: N/A N/A N/A
SERVICE PER 10 U.S.C. 12733: 06.46 (2326 POINTS)

My question is: will my retired pay be based on the total points or the active service for retirement?
My PEBLO told me that it would be based off of total points, but not so sure now that I read the active service for retirement. Anyone know?

Disability retirement is base pay * disability percent.

They gave me a page that compared LOS retirement to disability retirement, If LOS retirement is greater than disability, they use that percent. Its 12 years to hit a 30% LOS retirement, so you won't have a scenario that cares about LOS either way. However, you'd have your (reserve point / 360) + active service for your LOS %, which looks like calculates to slightly under your 11y 6m.

You will use your percentage for retirement pay, they just let you know on your orders how many total years you have and how many are active.
