My timeline is in my signature. I haven't seen a recent timeline for Schriever or Peterson lately so I wanted to post mine in case others are looking for this area.

Side question, I went to my general exam today and the doc talked about my earlier Neurology exam. She stated that the neurologist put my condition under ALS. As far as I know ALS was ruled out. Has anyone else had their exam doctors talk about other exams you had? She also told me that I should get 100% because of this, should I take her word for it? I feel a little skeptical due to all my different doctors and their different opinions. thank you.

Called my PEBLO because I noticed a new claim in Ebenifits. He informed me that my unfit decision was made today. Now the long wait for ratings. Timeline in signature.

From what the VA told me, the second claim is the IDES proposed rating. Once I got my rater I received my rating almost instantly! Hopefully your wait goes quickly!

Second claim finally closed, one step closer. Probably about a month before the PEB accepts ratings and my PEBLO gets them for me to sign.

Got my ratings back today, not what I was hoping for, but it was what I expected. Conversing with the OAC to determine if I should go to a FPEB.
30% DOD PDRL 70% VA

I would accept. As long as your paperwork states medical retirement. You can always fight with the VA to get your percentages changed. You dont gain any benefits from a higher DOD rating, only if you decide to take that rating and money over the VA's. However it seems like you'll take the 70 fromt he VA seeing how its more and its tax free compared to the 30 from the DOD which is taxed.

Yeah I am pretty sure I won't be able to increase the DOD number, but I am asking the OAC just in case. What I do need advise on is how to fight conditions that weren't rated. Not the ones that got 0% but the ones that got nothing. Is this something I do that after I get out? Anyone that has done this please reply.

Yes you can file VA claim up to 365 days after your date of separation, if not listed in your medical records, and they can be determined to be service connected if you get medical documentation from new provider. After the 365 days anything that happens wont be service connected.

However, if a secondary condition comes up due to one of your primary conditions listed on your VA then you can be compensated for that but you will need proof (med records) that they are secondary to one of your listed conditions through the VA.

If you have medical records from the military proving that the condition was service connected then there really is no time frame of making a claim however you will not get back dated to your DOS only to the time you started the claim.

That is how I understood the process. Still be sure you ask your VA rep that you spoke to when you first started claims to ensure this is correct. You will speak with them again before you separate once you receive your orders and do your out brief. When I ask this is what I was told.

My issues is they put my chronic kidney disease on my paperwork for this PEB, but because my last test (been having this issue for 3 years) came back as good they didn't rate me for it at all. Can I re-claim it later even know I already tried claiming it? I am going in today to get retested.

Thank you NDoyle for the information. I signed my ratings today and plan on working with the local DAV to fight more after I get out.

Got my orders today!

It has been a while but I finally have my last update. Got my final ratings back on the 25th, took almost two months since my separation date. I got my back pay yesterday. Today I got paid for Nov, however I didn't get one deposit like I expected. I got paid from both the DFAS and VA. I do not qualify for concurrent pay so I expected that since my VA is higher that I would receive only a deposit from the VA. Do I have to do something to get this changed or is this normal? Or is this a timing thing because the process completed so late in the month? Thank you.
