I attended the briefing on the SBP with my husband and we elected to decline coverage for me but keep it for the kids since the cost was minimal. We received a certified letter for DFAS today and apparently they haven't received that paperwork so they automatically signed us up for the SBP spouse only. Is this a common error?!!? The guy was a total pusher and tried to talk us into the SBP but we stood our ground and declined. Surely he wouldn't have deliberately withheld the paperwork...
