Finally made it to this level. Long haul. I was told to be patient by everyone, tried to be (mostly) now end in sight. Ready to move on get this behind me. To all you out there starting the process or in the middle of it, be patient find something to occupy you time (Knitting is a good one). Thanks to all of you out there for you advice. I will keep posting so that other soldiers know what to expect AFTER separation and how long the VA will take to pay etc.

You need to do a reconsideration for the migraines to be rated separately, it has been repeatedly rated as one and the same with a TBI, but by law is to be rated separately.

I wouldn't because rated seperate can come back rated 0%

If he already rated 100% VA they will treat them all together anyway

Logged on to Ebennies today, my claim status changed to Pending Decision Approval as of yesterday, 7 OCT 2013. This is good right? (I'm currently in IDES)

Just spoke with a VA Rep, he said that my proposed ratings were completed yesterday, and sent back to the PEB. Realistically, how close am I to finishing this process?

Yes this is good. Should be getting a call from your PEBLO in the next week to review/sign your 199.

30 Army 90 VA

Now I'm waiting on to hit transpoc. Anyone know the average wait time?
Mine only took two days once my 199 was signed.

Friday 4 October my PEBLO calls at 13:00 to tell me to come see him Monday Oct 7 at 10:30. I can’t blame him as I might have done the same. So I waited all weekend and low and behold 70% DOD PDR Combat Related and 100% VA, proposed, I am very pleased. My PEBLO wants me to chase 5 + % more DOD. I don’t know, because the reasoning and rational behind my ratings seems fair and accurate. Also the smart thing is to leave the service around the 27th of the month to hopefully only have a month + 3 days to wait on pay. I don’t have enough days to stretch to the 27th of January, so I would have to accept a little less than 90 to be placed well in December. To request a formal PEB just to add days seems a little less than ok to me, (For me, each of us is the true keeper of their conscience, I can only deal with how I would view myself. I do my best not to judge others). I haven’t been able to get legal to see me yet, but the 199 reads in a very uncomplicated manner (at least mine does) it’s straight forward with clear statements. I know my PEBLO wants to help, but there’s nothing there I was rated well and in my opinion correctly. So I am now free to start to handle everything with my transition and out processing, in a really small window. But that is ok as well. Thank you Folks! I adjusted my timeline and my ratings came out of Seattle.

10DEC2011 Afghanistan Injury
14FEB2013 Started with doctors - (Shrapnel in calf, shin, thigh, knee and tricep, shin splints, knee strain, elbow strain, ankle fracture, bulged dics,TBI, PTSD, migraines and sleep apnea)
05MAR2013 - Physical Therapy and Ortho
20MAR MEB Started
30APR2013 VA Claim (15 items)
26JUN2013 Unfit Memo (14 out of 15)
2JUL2013 Unfit signed and sent back
8OCT2013 Over 90 days later, still waiting for ebennies site to say something besides "Review of Evidence".

* PEBLO estimates I could leave 120 days from Unfit Letter
* VA Rep estimates I could leave in DEC or JAN (Just talked to him 7OCT2013 - he is not on furlough)
* Opinions, suggestions, gripes, complaints?

Heads up. It may or may not change. My rating are at the PEB waiting for my 199 to be written up and my ebenefits still says "Review of Evidence"; its been like that since 2 May (5 months). like I said ebenefits may or may not change

Infantry_MO: I'm just in front of you, Unfit dated 9 July. As of yesterday the average at Seattle is 160 days and it drops about 8.5 days a week. Here is where I got that, also where, I believe, the 167 came from last week. Good info, maybe too much.
http://www.vba.va.gov/REPORTS/mmwr/index.asp

I have done a small amount of extrapolation and have gotten this far: If I use my Claim Received Date and an average of days SeaVA drops in their average, I'll be at 141 days to their 141 on 23 Oct. If I use my Unfit memo date, 123 days to their 124 on 6 Nov. I keep it posted on my office wall, update it every Monday...Don't laugh, it's something to do.

Only a week between us. We could be done before or after and either of us could be first. I hate that there is no dependable system to count on...everything estimated and so many not knowing.
I read the last few days about the queue number. Neither my PEBLO or VA-MSC had any idea what that is or was, or so they said.

I went to the website above and can't find where any of this information is. I looked at the weekly excel spreadsheets and none of that makes any sense to me. Can you help me out?

Oh yeah, no problem. The older ones are basically useless information. Start somewhere around, say, June. At the bottom left, click on Aggregate and scroll down to Seattle. It is listed last. As you look around, you'll see that Seattle is definitely not the best place to have a claim, but it is far from the worst. Their processing is getting better and better. I hope that the 10-day stay encourages those good people to work faster so that they have less of a pile up if they get furloughed and finally return to work. God bless them all. Average processing at first of June was 275. Now it is 160 just 4 months later.
