It stinks. Spouse has had to extend multiple times to allow the medical board to complete. His ID was set to expire and due to the weather he couldn't renew it before it did. Now there is a problem with being able to renew it due to they "can't see his orders to extend in the system". Can he bring a copy with him? "Well they have to be official orders so no. . " Is this going to affect our insurance? "I dunno"

Sigh. . .

Five years have passed since his first permanent profile. Three PEBLOs later. Six months since being found unfit and being sent to the VA. Pending decision approval for almost a month now, and still waiting for any movement.

What can we do?

"Wait some more"

Sigh.

That's seems to be the recurring theme of wait, wait, wait, wait, and wait some more. He can get a copy of the extension from his S-1 to get a new I.D. I would think. What a screwed up process it all is and that's why now I discourage youths from the service now. I tell them the military should be your last option in life as they haven't learned yet how to take care of soldiers.

These drawdowns from these wars is proving once again they will forget about you after they have used you till you are broken. Then in the end they will try their best to cast you away just like trash.

I guess my proposed ratings are done but know one knows what they are. Either the VA has no idea what it's talking about or my peblo and MSC have no idea.

It's Seattle VA, my paper work is actually at the Sea Tac office cause its a med board. I didn't get to much information but I was able to getting out of him that my proposed ratings are done but can't tell me what they are and have me I should be out in 90 days.

the number you posted what number is that if you dont mind

Just an FYI for those that have been waiting a long time for ratings.. If you go up to where your PEBLO is you can request to see the MSC (this is the original person who helped you with your claim in the IDES process). They have access to more detailed notes on whats happenning and can fill you in as to why yours is taking so long. I found out that mine had an issue with one of the exams and they had to wait for the examining physician to send back clarification. She then told me my ratings just went up to the rating board and it made me feel better:-) Temporarily:-)

Today my IDES dashboard went to 0 days and said the va ratings phase was completed on the 30th. Hopefully the 199 comes today. A guy last week saw his dashboard go to 0 then the same day got his 199. Keeping the fingers crossed

mine says zero too but me and you both got the same changes in ebenefits the same day so hopefully we both get our 199's soon

yea hopefully sooner than later. Especially with my MSC having my proposed ratings already

Sorry you're having such a rough time! I know the feeling, unfortunately! For his ID, he can get with his S1 and they can do an 1172 to verify his status. Hope this helps and hope your journey in this process comes soon comes to an end.

I talked to the DAV today and he gave me my proposed ratings 90% VA and 50% DOD. My only concern is that while my individual issues that pertain to having fibromyalgia and lupus were rated, it seems the fibro any lupus weren't rated themselves. Is this normal?

I have a question for everyone on here who has been getting their 199's lately. When was your packet sent to the VA for ratings.

I have yet to receive my 199 and my case was sent to the VA on 5 AUG. According to my MSC, I am the only one of his cases started in Mar that still has not completed the process :-( Thankfully, the VA has finally finished my proposed ratings.
