How long do PEB findings normally take. I'm at day 11. I was under the impression that this particular phase is fast.

In my opinion, if the DoVA D-RAS has completed the proposed ratings and forward them back to the PEB of record then it seems that the PEB is averaging about two and a half weeks to produce the IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings from my experiences within the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!

How do you know what VA rating is if your PEb isn't complete?

Upon the completion of proposed ratings by the DoVA D-RAS, anyone who has access authorization to the Veterans Information Portal (VIP) and/or Veterans Tracking Application (VTA) can view the ratings.

As such, the DoVA D-RAS shall forward the proposed ratings back to the PEB of record for IPEB findings inclusive of
DoD proposed rating with a PDRL or TDRL adjudication, and DoVA proposed rating with rationale.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

So I just got my proposed ratings - 40% DoD, 90% VA. 101 days since unfit, 280 days total. I'm really surprised, I got a way higher percentage on both than I was expecting. The funny thing is that my ebennies never updated. To this day it still says evidence requested is past due. So imagine my surprise when my peblo called with ratings.

Now I have a question - My Peblo says I'll get the Tricare and benefits of retirement, but I'll get paid from the VA at the 90% rate. Is this legit, or do I only get the 40% of top three? For a background - I'm a SSG with 7 years TIS.

I'd appreciate any info!

Indeed, congratulations! It's great to receive an unexpected telephone like that for sure! :D

That said, I shall defer to @Combat Eng and/or @ranger2992 or other PEB Forum members for a sound insightful response at this point. Take care!

Indeed, "ICE" her up upon the completion of the DoD IDES process or at a minimum upon receipt of your military disability retirement/separation orders in my opinion! ;)

To that extent, never default acceptance to preventable injustice! Hmm, I have a lot of "writing" to do upon the completion of my family's relocation to our chosen military disability retirement locale.

That said, I shall not accept the poor, lackadaisical and unprofessionalism behavior of employees associated with the DoD IDES process!

Oh yes, it's now my time to wipe the silly :D off the faces of those specific lazy employees in DoD IDES process for sure while trying to put a :) back on my face afterwards!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!
What is this "ice"? Because I want to report my MSC also for forgetting to send up some paper work that set me back almost months.

So who would be a good contact for this info? I realize this is a process and I should just wait but I need to plan and knowing my rating sooner would help me plan.

Indeed, "ICE" stands for Interactive Customer Evaluation. It is a web-based tool that collects feedback on services provided by various organizations throughout the DoD.

Moreover, it is designed to improve customer service by allowing managers to monitor satisfaction levels through reports and customer comments. That said, ICE provides the following benefits:
  • Allows DoD customers to quickly and easily provide feedback to service provider managers
  • Customers can make submissions anonymously or can include contact information
  • Gives leadership timely data on service quality
  • Allows managers to benchmark the performance of their service providers against other DoD and organizations
  • Encourages communication across organizations by comparing best practices to increase performance results
  • Saves money

As such, the DoD ICE main web site is located at https://ice.disa.mil.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Well, the assigned PEBLO is your primary representative who interfaces on your behalf to the MSC (in some particular cases), the MEB, and the PEB.

In your particular situation, the PEB has the authority to contact the PEB to make an inquiry as to the status of your IPEB findings inclusive of DoD and DoVA proposed ratings!

To that extent, in my opinion, the primary question is whether your assigned PEBLO shall "lean forward in the foxhole" to make the inquiry call?

As such, I would suggest that you make the call to your assigned PEBLO and ask if he/she can contact the PEB for a status update on your IPEB findings!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

So I went on my IDES dashboard through AKO and my timeline has disappeared. It now say's "You do not have an open case" Has this happened to anyone else? What does this mean?

Yes, unfortunately, I have received the "You do not have an open case" message numerous times while in the DoD IDES MEB/PEB process.

In fact, I am current on military transition leave waiting on my forthcoming military disability retirement and I, too, am currently receiving the "You do not have an open case" message.

Hmm, it seems to be a technical error with the My MEB/PEB (My IDES Dashboard) AKO application at this point in time; that's my best guess!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Still waiting for my 199, 2 other people got their 199's in my unit. Tired of waiting.

Just got my proposed ratings! 50% placed on TRDL and 100% VA!!! So happy!

Indeed; as such, let me be the first to say "congratulations" and good deal! :D

To that extent, enjoy your forthcoming military disability retirement!

Also, enjoy the extra disability compensation for military veterans with a DoVA 100% rating; assuming that this rating shall not change upon your receipt of the DoVA final ratings! ;)

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

How do you know what VA rating is if your PEb isn't complete?
As a USAR Soldier, I already had VA Ratings. When the IDES / PEB VA Ratings were complete, I immediately saw my case close with final VA ratings of 90%. 344 days in and still no 199. Ratings have been with the PEB since 25 MAR 14. Following all of the good advice, trying to remain positive and patient, but the waiting with no information irritates me, as I am sure it does us all.

How long do PEB findings normally take. I'm at day 11. I was under the impression that this particular phase is fast.
If the MEB /PEB portal were up it provides an average of 6.7 days and an "Army goal" of 12 days. Mine has been sitting for 23 days with no action since the ratings were returned by the Seattle DRAS. I think the PEB may have taken a Spring Break! LOL Keep smiling.........One day news will come. I keep telling myself, one day news will come.

So my dumb ass peblo just called. She asked if I was gonna sign my 199 and send it back. I told her I already did. She said oops my bad I forgot to send it up. Now that adds 10 days onto my wait for order. You would think after being in meb process for 370 days she would have sent it in. I am gonna report her ass
Sorry about that. My PEBLO has been a problem from get go. She is unresponsive and does not even attempt to get information, she just says wait. I do understand the large case load she carries, but I would like to think someone aggressively tries to assist me the way I would a Soldier if I were in her place. Sadly, I also see I may not make a difference either. The system is designed so it is uncontrolled and flows like water until it reaches the end. If you push it, then it just changes direction and moves away. The advice I have been given to be patient, wait, and try and relax is probably the best. Will I follow it, I wish I could........LOL ;)

Call this number and check..... 703-325-2582
BillyBalls, who is at this number? My PEBLO may get upset if I leave footprints on her head getting information.

Thanks,

Tht is the PAD. Just call them. Screw your PEBLO. United we stand! Peblo are worthless in my eyes. SHe wont even know you called them.
