I have a little over 60 days for leave. But here in Alaska it will be worth it. I get 1625 in bah plus 700 cola. Ill be making about 10000 dollars for 2 months of pay being in Ohio collecting Alaska pay. That's why I won't sell my days unless I have too!
 
Where you from in Ohio? That's where I'm at and from?

I live 20 miles west of Cleveland. I'll be down there for rock on the range in may. What's your MOS and have you been looking at jobs?
 
I love the rock on the range!!!!! I an 88m and I have a job already waiting for me! I will be doing logistics for auto retailers. Making sure car parts are being delivered and handled properly.
 
Good stuff. Yea I went last year and already have tickets this year. Field tickets too! No other way to do it. I was going to say I have some connections in this area and might be able to find something there. If you're good though then go for it
 
Hopefully I can make it this year. I better not be here NLT than may. I know my pack is being looked at as we speak. Dav let me know pack was being examined on the 5th of march.

Just a heads up, Seattle is so messed up. You will be waiting 6 months to a year after your retirement date to get your final rating, and the forms you need to get Vet Pref. when applying for jobs. I'm going onto my 6th month after retirement and nothing so far.

I retired from the Army on 11/30/2012. DES - DOD 50%/VA 80%. My case is at Seattle, and I just received a reply from IRIS saying that I am in the decision phase, awaiting decision review. Ebenefits still says 'Gathering Evidence', and all supporting documents that I submitted have vanished from the site. MSC, and other folks had advised me of a 45-60 day wait for final rating; I guess there is a big boondoggle going on over there at Seattle.

That's's the normal BS they give you when you call the VA. I put in an IRIS 30 days ago, and no info yet. I called the 202 number 3 weeks ago, no info yet. All they tell me is a wait time of up to a year from separation/retirement date.

I have the same issue with you on ebenefits with supporting documents not showing up now. Hopefully thats a good sign. One thing i have noticed is if you log into tricare online and click the "blue button" it will pull up all your medical history. If you pull it up and your VA info is missing or the only things in your history, that means someone, somewhere in the VA is looking at your info.
 
I received my proposed ratings and 199 today. I am not very happy! I'm happy with the timeframe in which they came back(sent to VA for ratings on 24 JAN). But DOD was 20% and VA was 100%. WTH???? Why is there such a big discrepancy??
 
so jsa are u still recieving your dod 50% until your va kicks in?
 
Well today is number 350 since the start of this.....FML. Waiting for the VA since beginning of november to release the VA ratings

Why can't I get this lucky like this. I want to just end this meb.
 
Your getting a 100% from the VA and your claim was done quick as hell... What could you be unhappy about?
