Separation Question

I know that generally everyone takes 30-60 days after signing their ratings to separate. However, if one already had their checkout stuff done when they signed their claim, could Millington then cut separate immediately orders? If anyone has any details on this, then please share. Thanks!

Not sure what Millington is, but a quick good google search produces a land locked naval base??? Go figure...

A lot of the branch specific regulations, in my brief exclusive, tend to overlap. In the Army we use a personnel action form (DA 4187) for a Soldier to request an early separation date the day the are issued their orders which are typically cut 90 days out from the signing of their 199. The signing authority for the DA4187 is the Company Commander (O-3) and can be hand delivered to transitions by the Soldier. Amended orders are cut either same day our by midday the next day. They can be shifted to the left to any arbitrary date, so long as the Soldier can clear post in time. We typically give them 10 business days to clear and despite some 4 day weekends or odd training events, most do not have an issue making these hit times.

The Navy's and Army's separation process is much different. They army gives the 90 day as a norm, and the Navy is anywhere from 30-90 days, apparently from whatever you ask, which can still be altered based on operational needs at the current time.

Is their any way my command could cut me orders sooner? And if so what nav admin do I look at?

No idea on the NAVADMIN, I've been so out of it during this process and it has been so much longer than expected that I just do my time waiting and asking the PEBLO now, I don't research anything anymore...my process seems to defy the standards lol.

I have a job that is supposed to start in a couple weeks and I hope to be on leave when it starts and I expect to if I can sign my findings within the week.
