Seperation Orders

Just got my Trans Memo, I signed my 199 on the 12th of Sept at fort hood.
 
talked to the PDA this morning. Mine should be ready today or tomorrow according to them. We'll see!
 
congrats. I hope they do. I called today and I was told mine has not even been given to a worker yet. been there since sept 27 and no one is working on it. :(
 
Chris - my son is in the same boat. He is in San Antonio and signed his papers on the 12th but didnt get to PDA till the 27th. He talked to PDA yesterday and got the exact same info. He is really frustrated and understandably !! You guys just keep hanging in there. It will hit really soon and it will all be behind you. Praying for all you guys and gals !!
 
Does anyone have any idea what exactly is done at the VA when the case is in Decision Final Approval? Is there alot of writing still to be done or is it a matter of someone looking at it and clicking / stamping it approved. The VA gave thenselves a three week window according to the est completion date on ebenefits for this phase on me. It went into that phase on 20 Oct with est compltion of 26 oct - 9 Nov. I also wonder how accurate or quick is status changed in relation to the actions being completed at the VA in regards to E-benfits. The closer I get to the end the less patience I have with this process. Especially when the you call the VA and get the.. We cant teke your call right now.. recording.

From my experience you can not go by what it says. Mine still says pending decision approval and ive already gotten mine back from VA and signed my 199. I called them to find out about mine. If you call VA they will tell you exactly whats going on and where its at in the process. When calling them you can schedule an appt for them to call you. I usually got a appt anywhere from same day to next day. THats the best route. I understand the frustration and lack of patience. I have tons and none lol. I have been going through this since July of last year and its still not over. Try calling them and making an appt. If you have problems ill find the number i use to call to make sure you have the right one. Although prob not exactly what you was hoping for in a answer I hope this helps.

Sorry to hear your son is having the same problem. Its rough especially when nobody will give you straight answers. The to top it off its even harder to see your kids having problems and you cant fix that problem for them. Tell him to call the PDA in virgina everyday. I call everyday now lol. I called yesterday and they said my stuff hasnt been assigned to a tech because of three week computer problems and the Hurricane. However today I called and a tech has mine and should be done by next TUE. Fingers crossed... Good luck to him I hope it gets done quick. We are all frustrated alot. I am keeping records of mine and I am going to try and soon I am going to try and get feedback from others. I have decided I am going to take this up to congress. Hopefully they will take it serious and step in to see what needs to be done to not leave soldiers hanging dry in the wind. The biggest issue I believe is lack of communication from everyone. and thank you by the way.

I picked the 15th as my separation date. Hopefully they'll have my orders done on Monday so I can start clearing. Ready for this to be done.

I have a job offer and I dont want to keep them waiting any longer....I know the ramifications. Thank you though!
