SEPT IPEB

My packet was sent to Walter Reed from Landstuhl on Sept. 8. I'm still waiting.

Don't feel bad, mine was sent on the Sept 16 and I too am still waiting. Did your PEBLO tell you what number you were on the list? I was number 11 forever and finally about 2 weeks ago I was number 8. They told me the PEB was moving (not sure where) and the new timeline is supposed to be 75-80 days instead of the original 45. I see you are past that timeline though so thats not very comforting. This really sucks not knowing if I am getting out or staying in so I can't really set up a life outside the military. My Commander, 1SG and doctor recommended discharge but you still can never be sure. I just want to know!!!!!!

BTW who is your PEBLO?

Mr. Azille is my PEBLO. Last week he told me that I'm number 3 on the list, but I'm pretty sure that's just the list out of Europe. Yeah, I'm about over 80 days and it sucks.

Yea Mr. Azille is my PEBLO as well. I believe you are right that that is just the europe list. I am going to get in touch with him probobly Monday to see if I have moved any. If I moved than that means you moved so once I talk to him I will let you know.

I talked to him today. I believe I might be number 1 now, but they had questions about a bone scan so it might be awhile still.

aww man I hope you dont have to wait any longer. But if they have questions or need more info hopefully it is going to get you a better outcome. I thought about calling him today but hes probobly tired of me and plus if I havent moved on the list I really don't want to hear it.

PEB Results back today with unfit findings and forwarded to the VA. Roughly took about a month for me. Holidays included. Was told by peblo to expect about 45-80 day return time on the VA packet. Will see.

I wouldn't call him unless you are or think you are around number 5. Then I would call him on Wednesdays because that's when he usually gets his cases back. If I hadn't called him I probably wouldn't have found out so quickly that they were requesting that I do another bone scan. Another way to check to see if your case is done is to go to my medical on AKO and then My MEB/PEB click on the PEB tab and see if there is a date next to case completed. If there is then it means that Mr. Azille should have the results back.

i'm in the pilot program.

My case was sent to the PEB then from the PEB to the VA. It's been back at the PEB since the 1st of November. I have no idea why it's taking so long. MY peblo said they haven't gotten back to him since he started calling last week.

I wish i could call. I doubt he even called.

So my bone scan showed that I have a stress fracture in my navicular bone. I'm a little frustrated because the only reason I found out about this is because I requested a copy of my bone scan. I haven't been treated for it and I'm not sure if this is going to hold up my board.

Got my results today- 50% TDRL. I still have a stress fracture that hasn't been treated yet, so I'm not sure how this will happen. Does anyone know what happens when another issue comes up that needs to be treated?

Congrats. I guess since I am not too far behind you maybe, just maybe, I'll get my results back sometime in the near future. I go on leave Sunday headed back to the states for a couple weeks so hopefully I will be busy enough with other things and not think about this med board crap.

The concurrent paycheck is able to be collected if you have at least 8 years of active duty service (sat service years for ANG/RES) and you get a 50% rating from the VA....as long as you get over a 30% rating from the service you're in. You DON'T need 20 years to draw a concurrent paycheck....here is the link: http://www.military.com/benefits/co...irement-and-disability-pay-crdp-overview.html
Please get the right info before you make these kinds of assumptions please ;)

You do need 20 years of service (the exception is those retired earlier under TERA for active duty folks).

Then how does the link specify as other sources state you only need 50% VA rating if you have 8 years of service? I know people who have concurrent VA and AF pensions right now.....they don't have 20 years.

Look at the link. It states clearly (though, the link is not the important authority...the underlying law states this clearly, too):

Concurrent Receipt Eligibility

To qualify for concurrent receipt you must:
  • Be a Military Retiree with 20 or more years of service, including:
    • Chapter 61 Medical Retirees with 20 years or more.
    • National Guard and Reserve with 20 or more good years. (Once they turn 60 and begin drawing a retirement check)
    • Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) Retirees may also be eligible.
  • Have a Service Related VA disability rating of 50% or higher.
I can't speak to what other folks have told you about their compensation. They may have combat related disabilities qualifying them for CRSC. Or they may be confused.
