Severance pay timeline. Fort Hood

since i cant find anyone else that posted there timeline, i recived my severance pay from my final out date of 24 jan 2013. I received my severance of

$35,861.42. ater tax, before tax of 42595.20 on 2 feb 2013 i hope this helps people get a feel on when they can get theres. ​

Do you know how to calculate that? I got out January 30th I served for 2 years and 1 month I left as a E-3

your severance pay=2*2.5*basepay

Based on those numbers I figured the tax percent is approximately 15.9%. I see numbers flucuate all the way up to 28%, would anyone have any insight on the figure?
