Shoulder Issue after surgery - nerve damage

Been reading the site but cant find anything close to my condition;

History; 5 years ago I had shoulder surgery for tears in my labrum, the doc put in 4 anchors and took about 6 months to recover

Fast forward to today ive been in the navy for 2 years got a med waiver for my shoulder in order to get in.

I damaged my shoulder again about 7 months ago (work related injury while TAD), i was unable to lift it half shoulder height.

Ive had a corrective surgery 2 months ago, still my shoulder is very very painful when trying to move it up to shoulder height. not only is it painful but it feels that its rolling over something within my shoulder, ive also had other complications due to the surgery ive lost feeling in 1/3 of my hand with frequent sharp pains running from my shoulder though my pinky and ring finger.

Ive been taking meds for the possible nerve damage and now get dizzy spells when moving around to much, i have been talking closely with the doctor here on base he advised of needing a joint replacement due to the injury and arthritis, im not wanting to go down that road, my doctor leaves at the end of the month and there is only 1 left here in japan that works with shoulders.

its been 4 months since i was put on limdu is it to early to request a PEB?

This is a repost, Think i put my last post in the wrong section...

Pains sounds like problems at your C5 nerve root. I ruptured that disk had severe shoulder pain and it progressed to pain, numbness, burning in my pinky and ring finger. Ended up with a labral tear after the fact. Ask for a nerve conduction study to pinpoint the problem.

Update: 8 months after injury.

Last week I saw the neurologist and they performed some shock tests. They concluded that the ulnar nerve had been damaged due tot he surgery and would require another surgery down the road. It’s been 2 months since I last saw orthopedics they only have 1 here on base and takes months between appointments.

My first limdu is up at the end of next month they will have to make a choice from what I have been told from the other doctors. This will be my first meeting with the new doc and he will have to make a choice to keep me in or out, in the belief I will get better within the next 6 months. Since then I have been having major sleep issues where I wake up 3-4 times and have to readjust my position due to the pain in my shoulder. I have also been diagnosed with depression.

One big question, which I have been unable to find out, is if I can link this as (combat Related) Since I was using machinery that is designated as FOR MILITARY USE and we crashed into the side of a US Navy Ship. I was not operating it at the time of the accident and there where no safety watches observing us but I was a passenger in the boom. It’s already been reported in my record that we had collided with the US Navy ship.

My ROM for my right dominant arm is less then 90 degrees and experiencing weakness. For the nerve damage I have much less strength then the left hand with other complications.

(Will keep this updated as it progresses) any advice is helpful

ok got my shoulder record.

Distally neurovascular intact
Forward flexion right actively to about 1:30
Can be brought to 170 easily passively and abduction to 170 actively
Negative apprehension sign
Positive O’Brien’s
Painful crossarm but non-tender over a.c joint
Very painful with yergason's and speed's
Positive sulcus sign on right
Would not tolerate jerk test, load shift was painful

No clue to all the terms used but with shoulder as with any major joint its based on ROM, now there may be rating sbased on proven nerve issues and scars from the surgeries but those would not generally be considered "unfitting" you would need to look at vasrd codes 5200 onward to determine everything as I do not see listings for yergason's/speeds/o'brians. I think with everything listed for the tearing etc. maybe it could be counted as a major musclre group injury, but i do not know.

I got my PEB submited today.

(List of issues in my record)Moderate single episode major depression
Muscle Weakness
Adjustment disorder with mixed emotional features
Brachial neuritis
Joint instability of the shoulder region
Shoulder join pain
Back pain and neck pain due to shoulder
Insomnia
Frequent headachs
Tinnitus
Arthritis

ROM was listed in my right shoulder as 70/90/70 dont know
Doc said my shoulder was bad off and would need Shoulder replacement surgery with a resurfacing
