I am confused as to what is next. I am an uncommon case. I am currently stationed in Las Vegas, but had to go to Fort Irwin for MEB, PEB was in Seattle. Just signed my 199 2 days ago, and I really dont have a unit to clear so??? Whats up next? My PEBLO said he is going to fill in my DA31 with the 50 days leave, 20 days PTDY, and I can give it to my S1. (I do have a unit for administrative actions)....
My questions...

What comes next?
Am I going to be contacted by TRANSPOC?
How do I schedule my last military move? How long do you have to utilize that last move?

Thanks guys... the forum has been an incredible help throughout the process.

You should hit transpoc very soon. I came down in a few days. You have 1 year to accopmplish your last move and you can have your stuff put in storage for that same time frame. I had them pack up my stuff about a month after I retired so I could head out west and look for a job. Once I settled here, I called them up and arranged for delivery. I also did a partial DITY and was able to count the weight of all the stuff I carried with me to California.

You didn't tell you PEBLO that you don't have an S1? What type of orders took you to Ft. Irwin? Where was your place of duty while at Irwin? What does your PEBLO say about all of this? Are you an officer? And you say you are getting 20 days PTDY...pretty sure battalion level commander or higher has to sign off on that, not something your PEBLO can do. And I think you will have to fill out separate leave forms for the different types. You have up to a year to execute DITY move and even longer if you need to but I think over a year requires some sort of waiver.

Are you a recruiter or stationed at the AFB near Vegas?

If you are at the AFB you will utilize their TMO to schedule your last military move; and if you are being Medically Retired you have up to a year to conduct your final move and can keep your stuff in temp storage until that time.

Sigh. I have a S1. I am an Operations Offer for a Local ROTC Battalion. I have no orders that sent me to Irwin, they were the nearest MTF for Army... I tried to get it done at Nellis AFB, but was denied. My PEBLO has already said I was already approved before the MEB for the 20days PTDY and Leave. I was told to provide a DA31 preapproved with blank dates to the PEBLO before the MEB started. He is going to fill it out and I give it to my S1. My BN CDR will sign off, they have been really helpful throughout the process.

Thanks for getting back to me about the move... I guess I will have to set it up with my local installation. (Nellis, or would i have to go to closest Army facility?)

Ah ok... misread your initial post. I figured you were an officer because the Army would not let an enlisted merely run around for a med board on his own. lol Good luck getting move squared away.

I would think if your original orders were for Fort Irwin, before you went to Vegas, you would have to clear that post.

Where are you guys reading that I was ever stationed at Irwin. I was at JBLM...got accepted to the Green to Gold ROTC program....spent 2 years of active duty finishing college in Las Vegas. Upon completion and commissioning I went to MEB. So I have no unit to clear...or would be clearing via email at cadet command or student detachment.

First of all you didn't say the above in your initial post. Maybe if you had there wouldn't be this confusion.

It's confusing because you are in a unique situation (that you failed to mention before), and most of us on this site had a unit. A simple place of duty...same thing everyday. Most of us weren't officers who are able to stay in limbo for months after finishing ROTC, doing what we wanted. That is why it's hard to get our heads around what you are saying. In other words, if I went to Irwin...or Benning...or anywhere, then I was on orders. :)

I dont think it was very confusing... I said I was stationed IN Las Vegas. I don't get angry about things, but it seems as if you are criticizing my limbo status after ROTC as (doing what I wanted)...as if. I was the Operations Officer for an entire BN. That's a spot for a CPT (P) or MAJ, I was doing it all by myself, while still having to do all of my MEB stuff, go to appointments and what not. I understand what you mean by a unique situation... I agree, weird as crap.... I would have stayed in but when they told me my headaches were caused by TBI... I said, why risk it.. I knew I would be deploying again... so I just decided to take the MEB and see what happens...> Thanks for all the help though fellas, I am still waiting for TRANSPOC as or right now.

Being that you work at a Battalion element I would assume you have to clear something. Have you talked to your S4 NCOIC for a recommendation?
