Just trying to better understand the process-- is the NARSUM the result of MEB proceedings? Or does the NARSUM go to the MEB, which determines fitness (just a formality if NARSUM says unfit?) and then the PEB determines retain/do not retain (& rating)?

Like, if I signed my NARSUM four weeks ago, what am I waiting on now? Just a 199 once the IPEB has met? So lost...

NARSUM is like a condensed summary compiled from your MEB. It will state what is considered unfitting or not and if combat related or not. It will give you a clue of what the PEB will determine since the PEB generally concurs with the NARSUM.

Thanks for the feedback!

So if the NARSUM called me a shitbag is it fairly safe to assume the PEB will conclude that I am similarly shitbaggy? And, how long might it take for them to make such a determination? I just hit 180 days since MRDP.

LOL yes. MRDP isn't really the timeline to use. When did you complete your C&P exams? After doing all the exams it shouldn't take too long to have MEB completed and then NARSUM.

Completed C & P early March but then had to re-do one in early April. All DBQs are back w/ the VA as of last week. So... two more years and the process should be complete?

I’m sorry guys I never got an alert I had messages. 15 April I received my 199, I’m waiting to go in and sign it now.

If you don’t mind me asking did you have a lot of things listed for your head to toe exam? I finished my exams March 24th ish. All the others have came back or was loaded onto Tricare, but still waiting. May 11th is the complete date apparently.
