Went to VA earlier this year for chronic coughing, wheezing, and needing to use albuterol inhaler twice daily. I was told I need to sign up for something called a burn pit registry. I did this, and I was scheduled for a pulmonary function test. I just got the results that show asthma, but I looked up the rating scale and it shows percentages, but my results don't show any. My question is, should I even bother trying to get rated for this? I am, btw, rated 90% already. I went through a WTU where everything was handled for me, so I have no clue what to do. My results are below.
Btw: I'm not necessarily asking what I could be rated, but if it is even worth the time to make a claim.
PULMONARY DIAGNOSTIC STUDY REPORT:
LOCAL TITLE: CBOC PFT CONSULT INTERPRETATION NOTE
STANDARD TITLE: PULMONARY DIAGNOSTIC STUDY REPORT
DATE OF NOTE: APR 17, 2023@12:18 ENTRY DATE: APR 17, 2023@12:18:44

PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST INTERPRETATION:
Diagnosis: Asthma
I have discussed the results of the pulmonary function test with the
attending physician on record, Dr., who agrees with my assessment
and plan.
The testing quaility by the technician is Adequate.
VITAL CAPACITY:
Vital capacity is reduced suggesting restrictive defect
or air-trapping.
RESTRICTIVE WITH NORMAL FEV1/FVC:
Spirometry reveals reduced FVC with normal FEV1/FVC ratio
suggestive of a mild restrictive defect.
RESPONSE TO BRONCHODILATORS:
No acute response to inhaled bronchodilators.
FLOW VOLUME LOOP:
Flow volume loop reveals flow rates normal for lung
volumes consistent with restrictive defect.
MAXIMUM VOLUNTARY VENTILATION:
MVV is normal.
VOLUME TIME CURVE:
Volume time curve demonstrates good patient effort
(expiration time > 6 seconds).
COMPARED WITH PREVIOUS STUDIES:
No previous studies are available for comparison.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Measurement of TLC, RV and DLCO are recommended.
Spirometry suggestive of restrictive defect. Recommend measurement of lung
volumes and DLCO to further assess
