Still havent recievd my DD199 and my VA rating has been done for 5 weeks

My VA rating was done on July 8, 2014 and haven't received my DD 199. I called my PEBLO and haven't received anything at all and that's hard to believe. I asked him if there's a person he could contact by phone or email and he stated that the PEBLO does not have access to any of that that. That is hard to believe since we do live in a technology time. Any input would be great.

My Va ratings was complete July 20th. I received my 199 yesterday.. It was done at Fort Sam Houston. Hopefully yours should pop up by next week. Are you Army??
 
Im with ya brother, mine was done the 22 of July and my PEBLO isnt sure why my 199 isnt here yet.
 
No way to be certain what is going on, but my proposed ratings got "lost" between the VA and the PEB. It took 2 months of me pestering people to get them found again. The VA said they were sent and the PEB said they never got them...my wife met with a congressional staffer (her friend from home) and the staffer talked to our representative specifically about my case. Before we could do a formal congressional my ratings were found.

Not sure how they could get lost, the VA kept saying they had emailed them to the PEB. Instead of wasting months they could have just resent the email.

It blows my mine we people tells us that BS!!! Get off your a$$ and pick up the telephone call someone. If anything email someone. It makes me sick especially it would help me out especially if i know that I should have insurance for my son by end of September to mid October. Thanks to Tricare messing up on their end so i cant get back into it until November unless I get medically retire and receive health insurance.

Sorry for the confusion; my wife's friend worked in the congressman's office at the time and had talked to him specifically about my case instead of sending it through like a normal congressional. I had to do a different congressional years ago (different issue) and it didn't really do much, this time around it seems to have prompted some type of action.

In my case all I needed was for an email to be re-sent, not sure why it took them 2 months to do it.
 
So did they end up telling exactly what was the problem. I see you said an email, was that all? And from who?

In regards to the email; the 1-800 VA number told me that the ratings were emailed to the PEB and told me the date it was sent. PEBLO was communicating with the PEB and they were saying they never received anything. Ended up being a huge circular argument with the VA blaming the PEB and PEB waiting on VA. Took awhile, but the VA finally resent the ratings and I was on my way.
 
I call USAPADA and they told me my case was still at Seattle. I got my rating decision letter from Seattle.dated july 8 2014 upper right hand corner to be sent to Physical Evaluation Board. Im still waiting. My peblo told me that they cant do nothing about it all. Its only been 7 weeks now since my VA rating.
 
do Navy members get this 199 form . Should i get it before i go on terminal leave ?
 
DA-199 is a Department of the Army Form - the Navy should have their own version. Yes - it is essentially the decision of the PEB, including whether it is TSRL, PDRL, or separation, and what the individual and overall ratings are. You need to aggree to continue towards terminal leave, if you appeal you continue the process. best of luck....Bob
 
The DD-214 is your final discharge form - same across services. You will get a form prior to that listing out the PEB and VA decisions. You will get your DD-214 right before starting terminal leave - they will date it for your actual retirement date. You can then take this to the VA for service eligibility. Best of luck...Bob
