Surgery while going through MEB

I am currently waiting on the VA to finish up reports from the C&P exams to send back to peblo. I just met with a doctor for an acute issue and pending results of an ultrasound I may have to have surgery. Does anyone know How this will impact my MEB? My peblo is on leave until next week so I am unable to ask her.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

An emergency surgery is authorized during MEB. They will put your MEB on hold until you've had the surgery and are recovered, and do a reexam of your condition before continuing the MEB.

Emergency is the operative word. Typically surgeries are not approved.

I have a 100% separated labrum in my shoulder as well as a tear. Unfortunately that is not classified as "emergency", so you're right about emergency. I was told "Loss of life, limb or sight" is the criteria. So I get to live with the pain until the MEB is over :(
