Just a heads up to anyone else waiting on notifications from TDRL. Been on TDRL for 17 months and just got the email for my reevaluation Friday. Hoping it goes by quickly but I bet it won't. I was made P&T by the VA 6 months after my retirement so I have not had a C&P for my disqualifying conditions. However, I have seen the VA consistently and far too often for my disqualifying conditions so we will see. Expecting evaluation at MTF. 100% VA 70% DOD

@FmrArmyAvatr you were right about 18 months lol. Feels like forever and I am ready for it to be finally over.

Congrats. I'm on my 19th month right now and still haven't heard from them.

You didn't have a C & P exam and the VA made you P&T?

Have you called the TDRL branch? Their number is 855-863-0426. I was calling about every month just to check in and make sure they had the right contact info.

Yeah. My sleep apnea was not submitted originally with my med board but the VA examiner suggested in his notes I submit it retroactively and when I did they made me P&T. I went into to VA A LOT the first 6 months though so mayyyybe that factored in. Also I was 100% before sleep apnea. Did not expect it and was pleasantly surprised.

Nice! Hopefully since you have been going to medical treatment, DOD will just review your medical records and just go directly to PDRL with your current ratings. Some may say to try and squeeze that extra 5% out of DOD to get to 75%, but it’s a gamble. I hope this works out smoothly for you.

@gotquestions123 , remember how much the military cared about you in the end? That’s about how much they care about you now while on TDRL. If your conditions are at the level where you will maintain or get an increase out of DOD, I would start calling TDRL branch to get things moving. The sooner you get to PDRL means it’s that much sooner that anxiety and stress gets relieved. But, if you need more time to build medical documentation to support your DOD (and VA), conditions, do not waste time because you are right around the corner of 3 years, especially with how long the time between appointments can be. I would call just to verify your contact info at the least.

Thanks for the info.

I emailed them and they told me I should be contacted in 30-60 day.

Does anyone know if they actually use VA C&P exam for the re evaluation if it is within 16 months?

That is what I am hoping! I am not a gambler and I just want to maintain, but I am trying to be as prepared as possible if I have to go in to an MTF for a reeval. My VA records are pretty extensive.

Yesterday received notification that I will have a re-eval at Fort Sam Houston before June 2022.

Completed some forms and a questionnaire for Re-evaluation. Sent it to PEBLO and MEB representative today.

Forms filled out for TDRL included a PTSD DBQ completed by civilian provider, my divorce decree, and letter from the VA when I had to drop out of school. TDRL appointment this thursday the 31st of March, 2022

If you need to have some notes written down, I would make those today so you are not shuffling around during the appointment. Even just a simple list of dates for the medical or MH exams you want to point out will help both you and the provider out. The provider is looking at a lot of information and if you can tell them generally or exactly where to look, it makes their job easier to get you the correct evaluation.

It's not a test, bring whoever (wife) or have whatever makes you comfortable with you during the exam. If you have a spouse, they can also provide (probably the best) state of your symptoms. Just tell them not to hold back, even if you need to leave the room while they are talking to the provider. I walked away from the phone call to let my wife talk in private with the provider.

Thank you. Making notes today! In addition to the documentation I sent I am going to send the letter showing my VA rating change to P&T and my approval for Service Disabled Veterans Life Insurance. Honestly I am going over a lot of your comments here that I have saved:

Unfortunately I went through a divorce so its just me. My records answer pretty much all the other questions on the PTSD review exam worksheet, though, which is a great guide. Whatever happens I think I've done everything I possibly could.

Always glad to help someone though this process. I had no idea what I was doing until I found this forum one day when I was locked away in my office panicking over what a MEB/PEB/TDRL were. It's not an easy process to understand and even harder when your life is falling apart around you. I hope you get some relief and get to the PDRL so you can move on in life.

Life has been crazy so forgot to update. PDRL 70% May 12th. 100% P&T VA. Examined telephonically from someone out of San Antonio. Based on my records and documents I filled out before the eval he said he had 90% of the eval written up before it started. Asked me a few questions and then told me his recommendation for PDRL.

Thank you to everyone here. @FmrArmyAvatr @RonG @chaplaincharlie among others. Could not have navigated the last two years without you all. Seriously. Without the guidance here I would have never known what to do. This community is amazing.
