Hello everyone!
I'm a new PEBLO and a RN; and I stumbled upon this site...it's great to read all this info. I am glad to have the opportunity to help soldiers on the TDRL navigate this long, long process! It's been three months now since I started, and I am amazed to learn something new everyday, and disappointed at how frustrating the process, wait times, and inconsistencies can be for me, let alone my soldiers! I'm excited to have this forum as a resource to learn more and give better guidance, and I hope to offer help to some of you as well! Thank you!

Welcome to this forum. You will notice that we take this business of taking care of our own very seriously on this site. My personal opinion is that those still serving and veterans deserve the best that the military can offer (that does not always happen). As current and past leaders, our job is never done when we leave the services; this site provides an avenue to continue to take care of each other and keep our individual services' creeds alive in our hearts. So, once again, welcome and thank you for your contributions.

Welcome! It is great to have someone here who is on the frontlines of offering assistance and guidance to our most valuable resource- the US military member! Look forward to your contributions.

Welcome! During the time in your position, you may receive the misguided anger some service members have as they receive what they believe to be unfair decisions. Please don't let these guys get you down. Keep doing what you do to the best of your ability.

We REALLY appreciate the good PEBLOs that are out there.

Thank you for coming here to learn and share your experiences and offer us your unique point of view!

I just recieved my PEB packet back and have 10 days to decide to concur or nonconcure, they have me listed at 70% - 50 PTSD/Cognitive issues 30 for issues after a surgery to fuse C 5/6/7 and 20 for DDD lower back.
My question is why would they put me into TDRL afte being treated for the PTSD for 2.5 years now?

was this the IPEB or formal. my package is down at Randolph (ipeb) for PTSD and Ankylosying Spondilitis. It was sent end of november.

Because they are most likely rating you at 50% under 38 CFR 4.129 (which provides for a temporary minimum rating of 50% for PTSD that is unfitting), the rating is by definition temporary- hence, placement on TDRL.

MI. It is the IPEB, the MEB sent my packet to PEB who said with the broken neck and DDD in the spine along with the PTSD/Cognitive issues, all nonretainable.
ETA Mine went to DC in Aug I got the phone call from my PEBLO saying that I had 10 days to look it over and sign 28 Dec.

Jason are you saying that due to the reg I have to be put into the TDRL even though I have been getting treated for 2.5 years?
My Peblo says that the only thing that she can figure.
Also will I have to go thru the entire physical or will it just be the PTSD/Cognitive issue?
That ROM test they did messed me up for three days.

I cant tell you how long it was, I got the NARSUM then signed it late July, Aug it went up, so about 5 months.
I have it from one guy that the time is 5 to 6 months, my PEBLO said that it would be 4 to 6 weeks obviously she was wrong.
I thought you said yours is going by way of the AF and I am Army so you might get yours back faster being a smaller service.
