TDRL Re-evaluation with C&P exam

I'm up for my TDRL re-evaluation and in the letter I received, it states that if I had a C&P exam for the unfitting conditions, it may be an acceptable substitute. Has anyone used their C&P exams to bypass the exam and receive a decision with that alone? I'm wondering what criteria the C&P exam has to meet to be an acceptable substitute. Any insight? Thanks!

Yes, possible I would only use it if it's favorable otherwise they sometimes want to use a new exam requested by them.

Indeed, I have; it was during my first DoD military TDRL medical re-evaluation via the USAPDA in 2014.

Albeit, the DoVA C&P DBQ (Exam) had to be completed within a specific timeframe normally not exceeding six months past the date of the TDRL medical re-evaluation letter issued by the USAPDA TDRL Branch in my own particular situation back in the 2014 calendar year.

In retrospect from my lengthy TDRL experiences via an U.S. Army perspective, the licensed & board-certified medical provider (e.g., doctor or physician) would need to have completed the appropriate DoVA DBQ as listed on https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/dbq_listbydbqformname.asp webpage for all DoD IDES/LDES PEB-referred "unfit for duty" conditions which were deemed "permanent and unstable" and therefore resulting in placement onto the DoD military TDRL. Take care!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!
