Texas MEB Timeline

I had Optum and had similar issues getting my head to toe loaded it took awhile and a personal fax to the provider to make contact to get things figured out and uploaded. Optum stated the email and request documents every 7 days from exam date but can’t make further contact, so the member has to reach out further
How did you find out the personal fax

12 Apr 24 - Mental Health exam

8 May 24 - Vision exam
30 May 24 - All DBQs uploaded to Tricare Online/VA claim is in "decision stage"

I highly recommend checking Tricare Online and contacting whoever did you exam if the DBQs aren't uploaded within a week tops. The mental health and audio exam DBQs were uploaded within 24 hours. Audio was next within a few days. However, the head-to-toe general exam took forever! Why? Because the radiologist tech was taking a personal call through their headphones while conducting my x-rays and missed three requested images on the last page. I had to call the Optum Serve location I went to and their customer service several times for them to figure out what was missing. First, they were missing my sleep study results. That was an easy fix since I have a great MSC and they sent it the same day. Next, and thankfully the last problem, was the missing x-rays. I completed those this past week and had to call again several times back and forth to have customer service look in the correct spot of their database for the x-rays.

Be the squeaky wheel!
How long did it actually take for your claims to populate on va.gov? I've been done with exams for 2 weeks now and still dont see it. Unsure if its normal or not

3 June 24 - PEBLO received all needed information/Completed local board "Proceed with IPEB"/Signed Form 618

Yes, you read that right. I was contacted this morning by the PEBLO, who informed me that they would notify the providers to start the local board. Then, about four hours later, I was contacted again and told that it was already complete and I could come in to sign the 618.

I haven't seen anything on the VA website. I called to find out what stage my claim is in. It is normal not to see anything on the VA website until your claim is "closed." This means they have completed your ratings. What I have seen others do is, once there is something under the "closed" tab on the VA website, they call and ask for an email of their ratings letter, so they don't have to wait for the PEBLO to inform them.

12 June 24 - MyFSS email received

For anyone who is curious, the email reads: "The Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) at your base Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) sent your Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) package to the Air Force Personnel Center Physical Disability Operations Branch. The Physical Disability Operations team is reviewing your package to ensure the documentation is current and complete. Incomplete MEB packages are returned to your base PEBLO for correction as it is vital the information is accurate and current in order for the Informal Physical Evaluation Board (IPEB) to make a determination. Once it is verified your package is complete, Physical Disability Operations will transfer your completed package into a Disability Evaluation System (DES) case file for review by the IPEB."

Were you provided any updates on your process? I signed my 618 same day as you and now have my va claims showing closed and va proposed rating.

No updates! I've been checking with my MSC/VA and I'm still in the decision phase. Thanks for checking in.

Congrats on getting your proposed rating!

call the va and ask because mine is pending final review as of today and the agent said most likely will close this week!

10 Jul 24 - IBS C&P exam scheduled for July 18th

Apparently the VA rating criteria for IBS changed before I had my exam for IBS which I don't believe because my general medical exam was in April and the guidance wasn't official until May....anyways, I guess this is in my favor because they added the 20% rating instead of just 10% or 30% and it gives me the opportunity to re address this claim which I should have 30% for. This is extremely frustrating as I had to yank this answer out of my MSC and the VA. I knew there was something wrong with my timeline when I had not received my rating back last month.

Yeah i've been following your timeline for a while and started feeling like something was up. I'm sorry you have to deal with last second mess like that. Still wishing a speedy process from this point on for you !

I'm hoping they don't do the same for mine, I'm ready to go.
When did you have your general exam done? And did you claim IBS? If your exam was done after in or after May I believe you are good.
